The Division endeavors to address the needs of the community by offering a wide variety of professional development, enrichment, empowerment, and continuing education programs.
COURSES, SEMINARS AND DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATE STUDIES
Management and Administration Studies: Applied business administration; Investment advisor and portfolio manager training; Capital markets and securities; Competitive business intelligence management; Applied human resource management; Medical office administration; Computer applications; etc.
Computer Training: Web developer; PC technician; Network administration; etc.
Alternative Medicine: Herbal medicine; Art therapy; Yoga instruction; Reflexology; Nutrition; Guided imagery; etc.
Arts and Design: Graphic design; Interior design; Community art instruction; Photography; AutoCAD; etc.
Behavioral Therapy Training: Courses for workers with youth at risk, ADHD case managers, workers with drug addicts, etc.
DEGREE PLUS PROGRAM
Aimed at providing students with a competitive edge in the job market, this program offers field-specific practical training as a complement to academic studies. Students enroll in both the College's B.A. studies and relevant courses in External Studies (e.g. an economics student can enroll in Degree Plus courses in Investing, Portfolio management, Accounting, Organizational consulting, etc. in addition to the academic courses of the Economics program).
BUSINESS ACCELERATOR FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL WOMEN
Developed in partnership with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and the Pratt Foundation, this year-long program for women entrepreneurs in the Galilee includes 250 hours of theoretical and practical training courses in marketing, business plan creation, finance, sales, advertising/PR, customer management, social media, legal issues, and more. In addition to courses, the 24 selected Jewish and Arab women business owners receive six months of business coaching, and participate in empowerment workshops and field visits. The generosity of the Pratt Foundation and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women has enabled WGC to offer this comprehensive program for a nominal fee.
SCHOOL FOR EXCELLENCE AND LEADERSHIP
This unique program in partnership with local schools is aimed at developing critical thinking, creativity, analytical skills, and social leadership among outstanding pupils in grades 4-6.
JOY OF KNOWLEDGE
This series of monthly lectures, film screenings, and meetings is offered to the general public and covers a wide range of topics (travel, literature, finance, philosophy, humor, cinema, science and medicine, etc.).
