Sir Harry Solomon School of Management
The Sir Harry Solomon School of Management was established with the vision of empowering the Galilee, by educating and providing the region with skilled management professionals. Shaping leaders in a culture centered on excellence and innovation, this competitive program imparts graduates with the academic theory and practical experience needed to succeed in a globally competitive marketplace.
The School currently offers academic degrees in management and economics as single and double majors, a double major in logistics (supply chain), as well as a major in management with a concentration in small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) management. Over the next five years we plan to expand with degree programs in accountancy and health systems management, as well as graduate degrees in economics and management.
The School of Management combines theoretical knowledge, research methods, and problem solving with practical methods for dealing with managerial issues such as planning, budgeting, development, control and operations. As students learn the principles of economics and how they are applied in business, they deepen their understanding of the complex economic decisions faced by businesses and managers. Students hone their analytical skills as they learn to think critically, capitalize on opportunities, cultivate creative solutions, manage effectively, and dare to change.
An important component of the students' final year of studies is the practicum, where students learn to apply theory into practice and become exposed to real-world issues as they participate in an internship program with local finance, retail, NGO, higher education, and governmental organizations. As the students improve their skills and gain experience, they enhance their future employability.
The Kaye Family Building
The Kaye Family Building is the inspiring home for the Sir Harry Solomon School of Management. So much more than a meeting place for students and faculty, this state of the art building is a spawning ground for the next generations of the Galilee's leaders. Offering the most advanced systems in the Israeli academic sphere, the building features simulation rooms, computer generated scenarios, case studies analysis, and a trading room connected to the stock exchange, in addition to modern classrooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums.
The combination of the School of Management academic programs, with such a technologically advanced and prestigious building, serve to improve our students' achievements, increase the employability and income of our graduates, and successfully prepare the future leaders of the Galilee.
